Milton Keynes
/ˌmɪltn ˈkiːnz/
/ˌmɪltn ˈkiːnz/
- the largest of Britain's new towns, created in the 1960s in Buckinghamshire. Many people and businesses were persuaded to move there and it has become a prosperous town. In spite of this, British people sometimes make fun of it as a town that has been artificially created. It also contains the main offices of the Open University.
