Gospel Accounts of Easter Gospel Accounts of EasterHoly Week and Easter Sunday observances commemorate the events of the last days of Jesus' life, his death by crucifixion, and his resurrection (for more on crucifixion, see Cross). Each of the four Gospels - books in the Christian Bible that tell the story of Jesus' life - offers an account of these events. Although the gist of the story remains the same throughout the four Gospels, the details vary.
