Glasgow smile
A “smile” created by slashing a victim's face from one or both corners of the mouth to the ears using a utility knife, broken glass, or other sharp object, which may be combined with stabbing or kicking, such that the victim’s screaming further opens the wound, possibly causing fatal exsanguination.Named after the boroughs (Glasgow, Scotland; Chelsea in London) where these forms of punishment wounding were first popularised by street gangs.
