释义 | Fredericks, MarshallFredericks, Marshall (Maynard)(1908– ) sculptor; born in Rock Island, Ill. After studying at the Cleveland School of Art and with the Swedish sculptor Carl Milles, he settled in Michigan, teaching at Cranbrook Academy, Bloomfield Hills (1933–42). Working in the symbolic-realistic tradition then current, he is best known for his public commissions such as those for the city of Detroit and for U.S. Post Offices in River Rouge, Mich., and Sandwich, Ill. Other of his works are in museums at Cranbrook Academy and the University of Michigan. |
