Central Committee of Soviet Prisoners in France

an organization of Soviet prisoners of war that existed during World War II, from December 1943 to December 1944. Part of the Resistance Movement, the committee was set up in Paris on the initiative of the Central Committee of the French Communist Party. It was active in the western and eastern departments of the country. Among those who took part in the work of the committee were V. V. Porik, I. M. Skripai, and V. K. Taskin.

The Central Committee of Soviet Prisoners in France distributed leaflets and appeals among Soviet citizens finding themselves under the fascist yoke. These publications called for a struggle against the fascist German occupiers, advocated sabotage at factories and mines, and urged that prisioners of war be helped to escape from concentration camps. The committee organized several partisan detachments, which took part in the struggle against the fascist German aggressors. The committee also published the newspaper Sovetskii patriot.
