Entering house while contract under sale

Question

Country: United States of America
State: FloridaI've signed a contract to buy a house from a bank. The house in question was locked, but a the sliding glass door was open. Me and my partner have been in the house to clean, and we showed it to prospective buyers. The bank has directed their agent to file a police report for breaking and entering. I have a contract for it, so even though I have not closed, don't I have a right to enter for inspections etc. And if not, how can I make it go away. one other thing, they are saying I was in the house on a day that I did not go in. Does that make a difference as well?

Answer

You can say you thought it was okay--the police are not likely to want to arrest for this...
