British Association for Sexual Health and HIV

A body formed in 2003 by the merger of the Medical Society for the Study of Venereal Diseases (established 1922) and the Association for Genitourinary Medicine (established 1992). BASHH aims to:
• Improve the diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), including all sexually transmitted infections, HIV and other sexual health problems;
• Advance public health and education as it relates to STDs and HIV;
• Promote a high standard in the specialty of Genitourinary Medicine.
