Caucasian Bees
Caucasian Bees
a group of honeybee species, including Northern Caucasian, Gray Mountain Georgian, and Valley bees, found in the Caucasus. The bees are distinguished by an ability to fly from the hives when the temperature is relatively low (8–9°C) and sometimes during bad weather. They differ from Central Russian bees by their somewhat smaller body measurements, a longer proboscis, and larger extremities.
