Stürgkh, Count Karl Von
Born Oct. 30, 1859, in Graz; died Oct. 21,1916, in Vienna. Austrian statesman.
From 1908 to 1911, Stürgkh was Austria’s minister of education, and in 1911 he became head of the government. In March 1914, Stürgkh disbanded parliament; his government’s foreign policy contributed to the outbreak of World War I. Stürgkh was assassinated by F. Adler.
