Boiarchuk, Aleksandr Alekseevich
Born June 21, 1931, in Groznyi. Soviet astrophysicist. Corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1976).
Boiarchuk graduated from Leningrad State University in 1953. In 1969 he became the assistant director of the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR.
Boiarchuk’s main works deal with the study of Be stars and symbiotic stars, as well as with the analysis of the chemical composition of stellar atmospheres.
Boiarchuk has been awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor and various medals.
