Bohler’s angle

An angle formed by a line drawn from the highest point of the tuberosity to the highest point of the posterior facet and a line drawn from the highest point of the anterior process to the highest point of the posterior facet of the calcaneus, and best seen on a lateral plain film of the calcaneus and hindfoot. Bohler’s angle is one of two angles (the other is the crucial angle of Gissane) commonly assessed when evaluating patients with calcaneal fractures. Traumatic alteration of these angles reflects fracture severity; a goal of surgical management is restoration of these angles to normal values.
