disorder of written expressionAn inability to draft grammatically correct phrases, sentences, or paragraphs, a disability that may impair advancement in school or work. This communication disorder is said to be present only when 1. it cannot be attributed to sensory, medical, or neurological deficits (e.g., hearing impairment); and 2. it is an isolated deficit, out of proportion to one's age and measured intelligence. |
