Dalai-Nur
Dalai-Nur
a shallow, drainless, salt lake in China, located on the eastern Gobi plain. Dalai-Nur is fed by the waters of the Hlerhuang River. In normal years the lake has an area of about 20 sq km, but in wet years it is significantly larger, and the water becomes fresh. During dry periods Dalai-Nur dries up, becoming a salt marsh. Its shores are low, open, and almost free of vegetation.
