A general term for any pathogen which travels via the peripheral circulation, often causing system infection, or which localises at a distance from its portal of entry.

Parasites Malaria, Leishmania, Babesia.
 
Viruses
HIV, HBV, HCV, CMV, Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease agent, viral haemorrhagic fever agents, etc.
