Birk, Roger Emil

(1930– ) banker; born in St. Cloud, Minn. He launched a successful career in finance after graduating from St. John's University (New York City) in 1952. President and director of the Federal National Mortgage Association, he became chairman emeritus of the brokerage house Merrill, Lynch & Company and held directorships for a number of major corporations, including Mutual of America.
