Zink
ZINK
ZINK(Zero INK) An inkless printing technology from ZINK Imaging, LLC., Waltham, MA (www.zink.com) that was introduced in early 2007. The ZINK paper contains layers of dye crystals that turn color when activated by heat. Since the imaging process takes place within the paper, and there are no bulky print mechanisms, the ZINK technology lets cameras be built with their own printers. In 2008, Polaroid's eight-ounce PoGo printer was the first device to use the technology. See instant camera and CYCOLOR.
