Zhurnal Moskovskoi Patriarkhii

(Journal of the Moscow Patriarchate), the official organ of the Russian Orthodox Church, published monthly in Moscow since September 1943. The journal publishes pastoral letters and instructions of the Patriarchate and Synod, information about the Russian Orthodox Church and other Christian churches, articles on theology and church history, and a bibliography of church publications. It sheds light on relations between the Russian Church and other Christian churches in the USSR and abroad and on the church’s participation in international church organizations. The journal also publishes pronouncements in defense of peace. A journal of the same name was published in Moscow in 24 numbers from 1931 to 1935.
