Location:Northwest of Austin, Texas, in the Hill Country of central Texas.
Facilities:Observation deck, restrooms, trails.
Activities:Hiking, hunting, educational programs, birdwatching.
Special Features:Refuge protects nesting habitat for two endangered songbirds that nest almost exclusively in central Texas, the golden-cheeked warbler and black-capped vireo.
Habitats: 21,836 acres of limestone hills, canyons, and springs.
Access: Open every day sunrise to sunset with some exceptions in specific areas.
Wild life: Golden-cheeked warbler and black-capped vireo, jackrabbits, squirrels, butterflies.
