Plugging Cement

 

a variety of portland cement used to plug oil and gas wells. Plugging cement is made by simultaneous pulverization of clinker and gypsum. Two types of plugging cement are produced in the USSR: one for wells with temperatures up to 40°C and one for wells with temperatures up to 75°C. Plugging cement is used in the form of a paste containing 40–50 percent water.
