Facilities:Visitor center (é) with exhibits and children's Discovery Room; trails.
Activities:Bird watching, fishing, hiking, bicycling, horseback riding.
Special Features:Sanctuary is the wintering ground for thousands of Canada geese, whoarrive in mid-October and stay until late February or early March.About 100 geese stay there year round. The sanctuary also offershabitat to other birds and wildlife. In the summer, ospreys nest nearthe Visitor Center, and hummingbirds, finches, and purple martins areabundant.
