Schools for Peasant Youth

rural general-education schools in the USSR from 1923 to 1930 that covered the fifth through seventh grades and offered both day and evening instruction. In addition to general subjects, students were taught the fundamentals of agronomy and were trained for agricultural work. In 1930 the schools for peasant youth were renamed schools for kolkhoz youth.
