Location:Northern Puget Sound.
Facilities:Primitive campsites, trail, picnic areas, and boat moorage (on Turn and Matia islands only).
Activities:Camping, boating, fishing.
Special Features:Several of the islands can be viewed from Washington State Ferries that traverse the area.
Habitats: 83 islands (reefs, rocks, grassy islands, and forested islands) totaling 454 acres.
Access: Best access is by boat from Anacortes or Friday Harbor. All islands except Turn Island and five acres on Matia Islands are closed to the public, but observation from boats is permitted on all the other islands.
Wild life: Nesting seabirds including pigeon guillemots, double-crested cormorants, pelagic cormorants, and glaucous-winged gulls.
