Tiukian

(Tiuiuken), a river in the Yakut ASSR and a left tributary of the Viliui River in the Lena River basin. The Tiukian is 747 km long and drains an area of 16,300 sq km. The river rises in the Central Siberian Plateau and flows through the Central Yakut Lowlands. Fed by snow and rain, it has a mean flow rate of approximately 30 cu m per sec. The river freezes in October, and the ice breaks up in May. The Chilli River is one of its right tributaries. The Tiukian basin contains many lakes with no outflow.
