Bakchar

 

(also Bol’shoi Bakchar), a river in Tomsk Oblast, RSFSR. Flows into the Parbig River to form the Chaia River (a tributary of the Ob’). Length, 348 km; basin area, 7,310 sq km. The Bakchar River flows along the Vasiugan’. It is fed mainly by snow. A prolonged flood period is characteristic of the river. Left tributaries of the Bakchar are the Teterenka and Galka rivers.
