Volokonovka

an urban-type settlement; center of Volokonovka Raion, Belgorod Oblast, RSFSR, on the left bank of the Oskol River (Don basin). Railroad station on the Elets-Valuiki line. Population, 9,200 (1968). Volokonovka has mechanical-repair, sugar-refining, and brick plants and a combine producing canned milk.
