absolute permeability

[′ab·sə‚lüt pər·mē·ə′bil·ə·dē] (electromagnetism) The ratio of the magnetic flux density to the intensity of the magnetic field in a medium; measurement is in webers per square meter in the meter-kilogram-second system. Also known as induced capacity. (petroleum engineering) A measurement of the capacity for flow of a single fluid (water, gas, or oil) through a rock formation when the formation is completely saturated with that fluid.
