Year of birth unknown; died 878. One of the leaders of the Peasant War of 874-901 in China.
Wang Hsien-chih was a petty salt trader. A peasant army under his leadership occupied several cities in Shantung Province. After Wang Hsien-chih’s death, the leadership of the insurrectionary forces fell to Huang Ch’ao.
