Tier-3 CAMHS

Tier-3 Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. A term of art referring to the level of care under the 4-tier Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services Framework, which is provided as a specialised service for children and adolescents with more severe, complex and persistent disorders.
Professional providers of Tier 3 CAMHS
Child and adolescent psychiatrists, clinical child psychologists, community or inpatient nurses, child psychotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, art therapists, music therapists, drama therapists, family therapists.
 
Function/services of Tier 3 CAMHS workers
• Training and consultation with professionals from Tier 2;
• Assessment, formulation and treatment;
• Assessment for referral to Tier 4.
