Teza

a river in Ivanovo Oblast, RSFSR; a left tributary of the Kliazma River of the Oka-Volga basin. The Teza is 192 km long and drains an area of 3,450 sq km. It is fed mainly by snow. High water occurs from April to mid-May. The river freezes in November or early December, and the ice breaks up in April. There are locks on the Teza, and the river is navigable for 87 km from the mouth. The city of Shuia is located on the Teza.
