Tutonchana

Tutonchana

 

(also Zhdanikha), a river in Krasnoiarsk Krai, RSFSR; a right tributary of the Nizhniaia Tunguska, of the Eni-sei basin. The Tutonchana measures 459 km in length and drains an area of 16,800 sq km. It originates on and flows over a wide, deep valley of the Central Siberian Plateau. It is fed by snow and rain. The river freezes in October, and the ice breaks up in late May or early June. The landing of Tutonchany is at the mouth.
