The ability of the terminal area to accept the passengers, cargo, and aircraft that the airfield can accommodate. Individual elements within the terminal area must be evaluated to determine overall capacity. These elements are the (i) airline apron areas; (ii) airline gate positions; (iii) cargo apron areas; (iv) general aviation apron areas; (v) airline passenger terminals; (vi) general aviation terminals; (vii) cargo buildings; (viii) automobile parking area; and (ix) aircraft maintenance facilities.
