Facilities:41 campsites (18 with water and electric hookups, 1 with full hookup), group camp, showers, restrooms, day-use group facility, picnic areas, hiking trails, nature trails, fishing pier, boat rentals, interpretive programs, park store, playgrounds, scenic overlook.

Special Features:Park is in an unusual botanical area that resembles the tropics more than Central Texas, and the park is named for a stand of dwarf palmetto plants usually found only in eastern and southeastern Texas.
