Study Consultation

a form of instruction in the educational system and system of advancing qualifications.

As a rule, study consultations take the form of a discussion between teacher and students for the purpose of broadening and deepening the students’ knowledge. Study consultations are widely used in higher and secondary educational institutions, especially in correspondence courses and evening classes.

There are study consultations on the preparation of educational materials for seminars, colloquiums, and course and state examinations, as well as on educational and production practices, on planning for course and degree work, and on scholarly topics independently developed by students. There are both group and individual study consultations.
