MDRD
MDRD A randomised trial with 2–4 years of planned followup that asked whether restriction of protein in the diet reduced the incidence of end-stage renal disease and death. While the early conclusion (1994) was that reduction was an insignificant, subsequent analysis (1999) concluded that the balance of evidence suggested a beneficial effect of protein restriction.MDRD
