Local Involvement Network

An initiative introduced under the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007 to form a network of individuals, voluntary organisations and faith and community groups, who work together to both improve local health and social care services and influence change where necessary.
LINks arose from patient and public involvement forums and were set up across England to give communities a stronger voice in how health and social services are delivered.
