biliary dyskinesia

An idiopathic disorder of bile motility linked to structural and/or functional abnormalities of Oddi’s sphincter, usually understood to mean increased sphincter pressure. It may cause recurrent abdominal pain in middle-aged women after cholecystectomy, even in absence of clinical evidence of biliary or pancreatic disease.
Management
Cholecystectomy.

biliary dyskinesia

A tendency to spasm of the outlet of the BILE DUCT (sphincter of Oddi) so that the movement of bile into the duodenum is impeded.
