Location:On Scenic Highway 309 approximately 17 miles south of Paris; or, fromDanville, 9 miles west on AR 10 to Havana, then 10 miles north onScenic Highway 309.
Facilities:60-room mountain lodge with restaurant, conference center, enclosedswimming pool, fitness center and 13 fully equipped cabins (all-newlodge and cabins opened Spring 2006); 18 campsites, scenic overlook,hiking trails, pavilion, picnic area, restrooms, visitor center withexhibit gallery and gift shop (é).
Activities:Camping, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, rock climbing,rappelling, hang gliding, ORV adventure, backpacking, interpretiveprograms.
Special Features:Park is located in the Ozark National Forest atop Magazine Mountain,the state's highest mountain, offering panoramic vistas of rivervalleys, canyons, and distant mountains. The park is a destination foroutdoor sports and extreme adventure enthusiasts and is the state parkssystem's most dramatic location for technical rock climbing.
