MITC
MITC Methyl isothiocyanate. An organosulphur decomposition product of 3,5-dimethyl-1,3,5,2H-tetrahydrothiadizine-2-thione, which is used as a preservative in manufacturing and coating paperboard, and as a pesticide (dazomet) and soil fumigant on tobacco plants. It is colourless, has a low melting temperature and is a potent lachrymator (tearing agent).MITC
