Lvov Chronicle

a chronicle codex covering events from earliest times to 1560. In 1792 it was named after its first publisher, N. A. L’vov, a writer, architect, and public figure. The chronicle was republished, from two manuscript copies, in the Complete Collection of Russian Chronicles (vol. 20, parts 1-2, 1910, 1914). The L’vov Chronicle is based on a codex similar to the Second Sofiia Chronicle (from the late 14th century to 1518) and to the Ermolinsk Chronicle. The L’vov Chronicle also contains some original material dealing with Rostov and Suzdal’. The chronicle has been little studied.
