Kvaisi

an urban-type settlement in Dzhava Raion, IuzhnaiaOsetiia AO, Georgian SSR. It is located on the DzhedzhoraRiver (a tributary of the Rioni), 60 km northwest of the city ofTskhinvali, with which it is linked by highway. Lead and zincores are mined here (Kvaisi deposit). Kvaisi also has an ore-dressing plant.
