Marian Buczek
Buczek, Marian
Born Sept. 26, 1896, in Nóżyn, Luków District; died Sept. 9, 1939. Active in the Polish Communist Party (PCP).
Buczek was a mechanic. He joined the PCP in 1921. For 16 years he was kept in the prisons of bourgeois landlord-ruled Poland for revolutionary activity. On Sept. 1, 1939, he escaped and went to Warsaw to take part in the defense of the capital. He died heroically in an unequal battle with the Hitlerites near Ożarów, near Warsaw.
