Special Features:In 1894, Cyrus Reed Teed brought his followers toEstero to build New Jerusalem for his faith, Koreshanity. The colony,known as Koreshan Unity, believed that the entire universe existedwithin a giant, hollow sphere. After Teed's death the colony beganfading, and in 1961 the last four members deeded the land to the state.
