Leventina

a mountain valley in southern Switzerland. It stretches from the population center of Airolo (at the St. Gotthard Pass) to the point where the Ticino River (a tributary of the Po) empties into Lago Maggiore. A section of the Milan (Italy)—Zurich (Switzerland) railroad runs through the valley.
