Kolobok
Kolobok
(Round Loaf of Bread), illustrated Soviet children’s literary and musical journal with phonograph records, issued six times a year.
Kolobok has been published in Moscow since 1968 by the State Committee of the Council of Ministers of the USSR on Television and Radio Broadcasting as a supplement to the journal Krugozor. Kolobok acquaints children with the history, natural features, and culture of the USSR and with literary, musical, and folkloric works. The journal’s printed text as a rule is organically linked with the literary and musical tales, interludes, and concerts recorded on flexible, long-playing records. Kolobok is divided into such sections as Singing Pictures, Musical Alphabet, Know by Heart, and Once Upon a Time There Was a Song. Circulation, 200,000 (1973).
