Leksozero

 

(Leksha), a lake in the basin of the Lenderka River (Vuoksa basin), in the Karelian ASSR. Area, 166 sq km; average depth, 8.6 m. Its shores are jagged and there are many bays. The lake is fed by various sources, primarily by snow. The water level varies within a range of 157 cm. The lake freezes over in November and thaws in the middle of May. Several rivers empty into the lake. Leksozero is the source of the Sula River. The lake is used for fishing.
