MAOI diet

Monoamine oxidase inhibitor diet. A diet that is low in tyramine and thus not likely to cause adverse reactions (e.g., hypertensive crisis), in patients who are taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors.
Foods to be avoided
Aged cheese; aged or cured meats (e.g., air-dried sausage); any potentially spoilt meat, poultry or fish; broad bean pods (e.g., fava beans); concentrated yeast extract (e.g., Marmite); sauerkraut; soy sauce and soy bean condiments, including tofu; pizzas made in specialty restaurants (pizza-chain pizzas are OK); and draught beer.
 
Foods allowed in moderation
Wine and domestic bottled or canned beer are considered safe when consumed in moderation.
