Lekziri
or Lekhzyr, a valley glacier on the southern slope of the Glavnyi, or Vodorazdel’nyi, Range of the Greater Caucasus, east of Mount Ushba. The Lekziri is made up of three branches that merged into a single stream (up to 15 km long) in the center of a depression surrounded by the Bzhedukh (4,163 m), Ullukara (4,302 m), Latsga (4,019 m), and Bashil’tau (4,148 m) peaks. Total area, 38.9 sq km. The surface of the glacier is covered by a moraine. The Mestiachala River, a right tributary of the Mulkhuri (Inguri Basin), originates in the Lekziri Glacier.
