Location:Park follows the Lehigh River from the outlet of the Francis E Walter Dam to the town of Jim Thorpe.
Facilities:Hiking trails, bike trail (26 miles), snowmobile trails (15 miles).
Activities:Whitewater boating (rafting, canoeing, and kayaking), fishing, hiking, bicycling, hunting, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, interpretive programs.
Special Features:The entire park is characterized by its deep gorge, steep walls, rock outcroppings, waterfalls, and thick vegetation. The major attraction of the park is whitewater boating. This section of the Lehigh River is Class III whitewater and is popular for rafting, kayaking, and canoeing.
