Least-Developed Countries Least-Developed CountriesThe countries with the lowest GDP relative to the remainder of the world. The least developed countries are characterized by little or no industry and/or a high dependence on foreign aid. Some of the least developed countries are dependent on worker remittances from relatives working in other countries. See also: International development. |
