Ishi
(?1860–1916) Yahi tribesman; born near Mt. Lassen, Calif. The sole survivor of his tribe, he was found half dead in 1911 and taken to live at the Museum of Anthropology in Berkeley, Calif. He was the subject of a book by Alfred Kroeber and renowned as the "last of the Stone Age people" in North America.
